Clinical Features and Multimodal Imaging in Neuro-Behçet’s Disease: A Case Series

Purpose: To demonstrate clinical features and multimodal imaging in 2 patients with Neuro-Behçet’s Disease (NBD)
Methods: Retrospective case series
Results: Case 1: 36-year-old female with right eye defective vision, panuveitis, and vertigo and gait imbalance for a year. Neuroimaging, audiometry and multimodal imaging was suggestive of vestibular dysfunction and active uveitis. Uveitis secondary to NBD with HLAB51 positivity was diagnosed. Case 2: 45-year-old male had bilateral panuveitis, disc edema, and persistent headaches. Multimodal imaging showed active uveitis. Neuroimaging showed dilated ventricles. Uveitis with idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) secondary to non-parenchymal NBD with HLA B51 positivity was diagnosed. Both cases, uveitis stabilized with steroids and immunosuppressives and papilledema, with oral acetazolamide.
Conclusions: This case series describes the varied ocular presentations of NBD and crucial role of multimodal imaging in unveiling the disease.
